Cimarron County is in the panhandle of Oklahoma. While it is a smaller Sheriff’s Office, the need to communicate with the residents was needed. When Sheriff Berguetski took office in January, a website was an item on his list of improvements to the office.
“We need a website to bring the office to today’s standards,”
Berguetski said when we discussed what features he wanted on the website.
The website currently features:
, which shows inmates booked an in custody. The page is updated hourly and pulls directly from ODIS, their jail management system.
includes information for the public on phones, visitation, and mail services. We also provide direct links and information about commissary services as well as VINE integration.
The community can help keep the county safe by sending crime tips
to investigators at the department. The tipster can provide their information if they would like a follow-up. Otherwise, the tip is completely anonymous.
Visitors can also learn more about their Sheriff, his experience, and goals for the office.
With smaller agencies, their budgets are often limited. We have plans to add additional features to the website next year.
